I had the pleasure of taking the Reef Bottom Fishing Tour with Hooked on Belize Fishing Charter.

The crew introduce themselves and the 2nd captain in command demonstrated the proper use of the fishing rods, and the safety rules we needed to observe. 

The deck hands were so helpful and attentive; they bait your line for you and help you to take your fish off the hook.  

At our first stop, the lines were in within seconds of dropping the anchor. Within minutes, the first fish was caught!  It was a yellowtail snapper and then another and then a red snapper and a mackerel.

I catch the first Nassau Grouper for the day (as identified by the captain).  I was feeling so proud and excited.   I couldn’t stop smiling.  The largest catch for the day was a huge Barracuda caught by the youngest fisherman. He was so excited.  It was so big that the captain has to finish reeling it in! Fruits and water were served all along the way.  At the end of the tour, we were amazed at the different species of fish that we caught.  The knowledgeable crew members help us to identify them all. 

I had a great day; it was a very special experience for me. I learned a lot and would do it again and again. Hooked on Belize you’re the best!!
